Part Time Childcare Program Manager – Lynbrook School District

Join Right At School to lead before and after school extended day programs in Lynbrook School District. This part‑time position focuses on creating engaging learning experiences, ensuring safety, and supporting the district’s mission of inspiring a love of learning.

Program Hours & Pay
  • Pay rate: 21–26 (based on education and experience)
  • Hours:

    Monday‑Friday 6:30 am‑8:30 am and 2:00 pm‑6:30 pm
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain high safety and joy standards, supporting a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities for staff.
  • Ensure operational efficiency by keeping site documents, licensing standards, attendance protocols, behavior policies, and safety procedures up to date.
  • Coach staff to foster respectful relationships and prompt issue resolution, maintaining team cohesion and productivity.
  • Support and report on safety protocols, ensuring all participants’ well‑being, and maintain required certifications.
Required Qualifications
  • 18+ years of age
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED
  • First Aid and CPR (in‑person)
  • Cleared tuberculosis test
  • Two years of direct experience working with children under 13, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity (or equivalent credential)
  • Ability to meet state‑specific requirements in New York
  • Associate’s degree in child development, elementary education, physical education, recreation or related field (or two years of college with 18 credits in relevant areas plus supervisory experience)

  • Experience managing competing priorities and delivering high‑quality service to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of child development and special needs.
  • Strong communication skills with adults and children.
  • Professionalism and modeling standards with students, parents, staff, and community.
  • Proficiency with Google technology or willingness to learn.
