Join Our MissionThe Educational Coordinator is responsible for assisting youth with reaching their academic goals by ensuring that they are enrolled in all courses needed based on their academic level, making sure students gain all earned credits and participate in any required exams or assessments. The Educational Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining relationships with each youth’s home school district. The Educational Coordinator will work closely with staff, students, and community partners to create a supportive and effective learning environment.
Job Responsibilities- Plan and execute events, meetings, and special activities.
- Handle scheduling of daily school activities, school breaks, and summer school programs, ensuring all schedules are optimized for student benefit.
- Ensure school’s compliance with all relevant laws, statutes, and regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational regulations.
- Collaborate with contracted educational institutions to develop and run effective educational programs.
- Work effectively with school district to assist youth with potential discharge planning and educational progress.
- Maintain effective communication with regulatory bodies, internal stakeholders, and external educational institutions.
- Oversee and utilize the student management system, prepare statistics, and manage data related to student numbers, academic performance, and attendance.
- Help shape and uphold the vision of Together for Youth, ensuring all educational initiatives align with our mission.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in education.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education or related field required.
- Proficient knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to work with an economically and culturally diverse population.
- Must have a valid driver’s license. Ability to travel locally, regionally, and potentially statewide; flexible hours.
