Position Type: Full-Time
OverviewKey Responsibilities
- Build strong, meaningful relationships with students, serving as a trusted adult they can turn to for guidance and support.
- Create an environment where boys feel comfortable, understood, and respected.
- Serve as a visible presence throughout the school day—during classes, lunch, hallways, and programs—actively engaging with students.
- Provide mentorship on personal, social, religious, and academic matters.
- Partner with rebbeim, teachers, and support staff to monitor student wellbeing and address behavioral or social concerns.
- Lead programming that strengthens school culture, including assemblies, Shabbatonim, student leadership initiatives, and community-building activities.
- Communicate regularly with parents as needed, fostering strong, respectful partnerships.
- Uphold and model the school’s Torah values, derech eretz, and Modern Orthodox Sephardic traditions.
- Support the emotional and character development of students through one-on-one check-ins, group discussions, and proactive interventions.
- Collaborate with the administrative team to implement policies, student support plans, and discipline approaches that are consistent, fair, and rooted in compassion.
- Background in chinuch, counseling, youth leadership, or a related field.
- Deep understanding and appreciation of Modern Orthodox and Sephardic customs, culture, and values.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with boys and serve as a relatable mentor.
- A patient, empathetic, and positive demeanor.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Warm, non-judgmental, and genuinely invested in the growth of each student.
- Approachable and relatable, yet able to set healthy boundaries.
- Passionate about youth development and building a meaningful school culture.
- A team player who collaborates well with faculty, staff, and families.
