Job Summary /Basic FunctionThe Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University is actively seeking Adjunct Assistant instructors to teach graduate level psychology courses.
Typical Duties- Teaching graduate students in the Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology
- Developing and managing the class syllabus and ensuring that the syllabus meets department and college standards (per the needs of the department)
- Planning and creating lectures, in-class discussions and assignments
- Grading assigned papers, quizzes and exams
- Assessing grades for students based on participation, performance in class, assignments and examinations
- Collaborating with colleagues on course curriculum
Candidates should have a doctoral degree in counseling or clinical psychology from an APA-accredited program.
Preferred QualificationsIdeal candidates will be enthusiastic about contributing to graduate training and will have active professional lives in research, academia, and/or clinical service related to the courses they would like to teach.
