FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENTThe Physics Department is seeking applications for an adjunct faculty position to teach and provide guidance duties in areas(s) of expertise.
Teaching assignments typically include one to two courses per semester, including both lecture and laboratory instruction in Physics and Astronomy courses, for both science and non-science majors. Position to start Spring 2026.
This position requires teaching in-person classes. Evening and weekend schedules may apply.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and sponsorship is not available for this position.
QUALIFICATIONSFor Adjunct Assistant Professor Ph.D. degree required. Ph.D. degree in Physics or Astronomy or equivalent, preferred.
For Adjunct Lecturer Bachelor's degree required. Master's in Physics or Astronomy strongly preferred.
Also preferred is the ability to teach successfully.
COMPENSATIONAdjunct Assistant Professor hourly rate $ 120.83.
Adjunct Lecturer hourly rate $ 112.50.
