Position Summary

The incumbent will be a contributing member of a dynamic, cross-organizational team at All4

Ed committed to transforming systems to build strong, equity-centered pathways with no dead ends or wrong doors. The Associate Director/Director will work in collaboration with All4

Ed staff and external partners to lead and support projects that provide strategic support, advising, and evidence-based technical assistance for state, regional, and local leaders—representing fields such as K-12 and postsecondary education, workforce development, state and local government, business and industry, intermediaries, and community-based organizations—to design, strengthen, and scale innovative solutions in the pathways field (learn more here).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The principal duties and responsibilities of this position focus on developing strategies, providing technical assistance, building partnerships, and managing relationships to advance All4

Ed’s mission. In this role, you will:

  • Design and provide direct technical assistance and strategic advising to leaders in state and local government, K-12 and postsecondary education, business and industry, intermediaries, and workforce and economic development in alignment with All4

    Ed’s pathways services and key strategies (e.g., pathways system design; career and technical education (CTE); dual enrollment, work-based learning, intermediary development, and education and career navigation)
  • Develop and lead complex projects from concept through implementation, ensuring on-time completion of deliverables, including managing timelines, budgets, work plans, program staff, and partners
  • Work with potential partners and funders and manage relationships with existing partners and funders, collaborating with All4

    Ed colleagues to build out, refine, and advance All4

    Ed’s work in new places and content areas
  • Understand and respond to the challenges that pathways leaders and systems face and respond by conceptualizing and developing tools, resources, and strategies to effectively solve problems and eliminate barriers to progress
  • Represent All4

    Ed with external constituents, including institutional and system leaders, partner organizations, and other stakeholders
  • Facilitate and lead small and large group meetings and events, trainings, and presentations for diverse stakeholders
  • Manage and support project teams and initiatives to meet goals, modeling inclusive leadership
  • Research, write, and publish high-quality blogs, briefs, and analytic papers on key topics of interest to the field, influencing policy and practice
  • Contribute to the writing, review, and editing of proposals and external reports

Headquartered in Washington, D.C., All4

This position will require travel (up to 30%) for periodic organizational and team meetings, conferences, and for targeted project-related work in the field.
