The Role SEND Teaching AssistantLocation: Hob Moor Oaks SEN Primary School, York (Through Vision for Education)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm (term time only)
Start Date: ASAP Immediate starts available
Contract: Full time preferred, part time considered
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you’ll be supporting children aged 2‑11 with a variety of complex needs, including autism, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties.
- Providing one-to-one and small group support
- Aiding communication and classroom engagement
- Supporting mobility and physical needs
- Delivering personal care respectfully and sensitively
- Working closely with teaching staff and therapists to provide a nurturing environment
- Experience in care or support work (children or adults)
- A compassionate and resilient nature
- Confidence in providing personal care when needed
- Ability to commit to the school’s working hours
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Able to provide references, and proof of right to work and address
