Job Title: Technology Trainer (Spanish)
Location: New York, NY
This part‑time position offers a unique opportunity to work with a client to empower older adults, helping them thrive in the digital world and harness technology to achieve personal goals. Trainers serve as the face of the client to older adults, delivering curriculum, offering tech support, and acting as brand ambassadors, promoting a culture of excellence, curiosity, and a positive attitude.
Trainers teach curriculum using books and online resources specifically designed for older adults. In‑person classes meet twice a week for ten weeks; virtual programs are primarily one‑off sessions focused on technology topics. Trainer schedules vary each quarter. Trainers guide participants in sending emails, exploring online interests, connecting with family and friends on social media, banking online, starting small businesses, and more.
They also foster a community of support among participants.
This position requires solid proficiency in common software applications and devices, but more important is dedication to teaching and the ability to clearly communicate the relevance of technology to seniors’ lives. Successful candidates will possess a high degree of patience, creativity, dependability, problem‑solving ability, a sense of humor, and a strong commitment to social change.
