Overview
Join to apply for the Microcollege Tutor Positions role at Bard College
.
The NYC Bard Microcolleges are accepting applications for full-time and part-time tutors. Tutoring happens in person at Microcollege locations in Brooklyn and Harlem. Priority for full-time positions will be given to applications submitted each June 15 for positions starting in July or August of that year. Applications for part-time positions will be considered continuously. Building on the values and decades of success of the Bard Prison Initiative (BPI), the Bard Microcollege brings tuition-free, high-quality, liberal arts education to communities most often excluded from the university experience.
Each microcollege is a partnership between BPI and one or more community-based institutions. These partnerships create opportunities for academic success and disrupt traditional expectations about the kinds of students who can and will succeed in college. Successful candidates will excel at working in a community that is broadly diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion.
