Teacher of Math, Middle School (Grades 5-8)

Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks a full-time Middle School mathematics teacher (grades 5-8) beginning September 1, 2026.

Strong candidates will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in math or a related discipline. Candidates with expertise in math remediation and/or experience in math learning support will receive priority.

The ideal candidate will possess an exceptional understanding of student learning needs, strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, a passion for Middle School students, a commitment to an equitable classroom culture inclusive of varied student experiences, an awareness of how race, gender, and other aspects of identity manifest themselves in the classroom, an ability to work cooperatively and generously with colleagues, a commitment to ongoing professional development, an eagerness to build community both within the school and with community partners, and a sense of humor.

Flexibility is a must.

The position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to: teaching math classes; working with Middle School students who need math remediation; pushing into Middle School math classes to provide support; providing enrichment activities for strong Middle School math students; advising a group of 8-10 students; additional supervision duties; and attending grade-level, divisional and full faculty meetings.

Salary range: $72,200 - $171,200 (salary based upon experience)
