About the Apple Ecosystem and Swift Training Program
The Apple Ecosystem and Swift Training Program is a flagship collaboration between America On Tech (AOT), Apple, the Hispanic Federation (HF), and Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC). The program equips BMCC students and local community members with critical digital literacy and coding skills, creating pathways into technology careers.
In 2026, the program will train over 200 individuals across three learning tracks:
Apple Ecosystem Digital Literacy &
Skills:
Short courses on foundational digital tools (e.g., Email, Numbers, Keynote, Pages, Resume Writing).
Intro to Swift Training: Short courses to learn basic Swift skills and used as a recruitment tool for longer term SWIFT Training Course
NC3 Swift Certification Training: A 96-hour NC3 Swift Certification Training preparing students for industry-recognized credentials.
All classes are held in-person at BMCC’s Washington Heights campus (5030 Broadway, New York, NY 10034). Each class will include approximately 25 students, a mix of BMCC students and community members.
Position OverviewAmerica On Tech (AOT) is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the planning, operations, and execution of the Apple Ecosystem and Swift Training Program in 2026. The coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for students, instructors, and partners to ensure seamless program delivery. This role requires excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong commitment to supporting underestimated students in technology.
The Program Coordinator will work closely with AOT, HF, BMCC, and Apple staff to manage logistics, support student recruitment and classroom operations.
This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of innovative community technology education and to directly impact the career pathways of 200 underestimated students in technology.
Key Responsibilities- Program Logistics (60%)
- Manage in-person sessions and provide instructors with administrative and classroom support.
- Manage calendars, class schedules, and room reservations at BMCC.
- Coordinate with instructors to ensure course materials, devices, and classrooms are prepared.
- Track student attendance and program participation.
- Student Support (20%)
- Assist with outreach and enrollment of BMCC students and community members.
- Serve as the primary contact for student inquiries.
- Support students with wraparound services (resume prep, career coaching referrals, access to HF/AOT services).
- Program Monitoring & Reporting (20%)
- Collect and maintain program data for evaluation and reporting.
- Liaise with program partners (Apple, HF, and BMCC) to align on deliverables.
- Prepare evaluation summaries.
- Identify and escalate challenges promptly to AOT leadership.
The program coordinator onboarding will begin in October and the coordinator will participate in a mandatory in-person Apple training along with the instructor the week of October 20-24 in North Carolina.
