Department Introduction

Hudson County Community College (HCCC) seeks an Instructor Instructor-Tenure Track (Med-Surg), for Nursing Program, Day/Evening Division to join its award-winning and nationally recognized institution.

The Instructor will guide undergraduate students and be involved in program, area, college, and community service. Additionally, the Instructor will develop new courses in emerging and innovative areas in alignment with other departments, programs, and initiatives at the college.

Candidates should also demonstrate sensitivity to issues of diversity and have the ability to motivate and teach students of diverse, ethnic and racial backgrounds, sexual orientations, genders, cultures, and learning styles, as well as students with disabilities, or varied levels of academic preparation. The instructor will be an advocate for access to higher education, particularly for first-generation and immigrant students. The successful candidate will preferably have an understanding of and a commitment to the role of community colleges in higher education.

The Nursing Program stands as a beacon of excellence, providing students with a comprehensive education that combines theoretical knowledge, practical experience, and a nurturing environment to prepare graduates to be eligible for the New Jersey State Licensure Examination for Registered Professional Nurses (NCLEX-RN). The Nursing Program strives to produce competent and compassionate nurses who will make a significant difference in the lives of their patients and communities.

What Youll Do :

Instructor-Tenure Track (Med-Surg), for Nursing Program (Day/Evening) faculty is a full-time position that will be responsible for successfully performing the professional duties of both didactic and clinical instruction. Experience teaching in the specific discipline for which this position is responsible for, teaching fundamentals and med-surg to first level nursing students. This position also participates in College and Nursing Program Committees and Meetings throughout the academic year.

What

Youll Need:

Masters Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, RN License in NJ required. Two-years college-level teaching experience, preferably at the community college level. Experience teaching in the specific discipline for which this position is responsible for. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
