The Yeshivah of Flatbush Joel Braverman High School is a premier modern orthodox yeshivah located in the heart of Brooklyn. This position is for a full-time History Teacher for the school year, starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities- Teach high school history courses (grades 9–12), including Global and United States History
- Develop and implement engaging, standards-based lesson plans
- Foster a classroom environment that promotes inquiry, respect, and academic excellence
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with department colleagues and participate in school-wide initiatives
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Bachelor’s degree in History or related field required;
Master’s degree preferred - Minimum of 3 years teaching experience
- Teaching certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong classroom management, collaboration, and communication skills, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Commitment to the study of history, enthusiasm for working with high school students with a student-centered approach, and ongoing professional development
$60,000–$80,000, commensurate with experience. Includes a comprehensive benefits package.
