Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT)

Apply to Achieve Beyond as a Special Education Itinerant Teacher in NYC, NY and help children with special needs reach their goals.

We specialize in conducting evaluations and providing ongoing services in homes, community, and clinic settings. Our services include ABA, Speech, Occupational, Social Work, Physical Therapy, and Special Education/SEIT services.

This position is located in NYC, NY with cases available throughout all five boroughs.

Compensation: $68.00/hr

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide one‑on‑one special instruction to children aged 3 to 5 years in the CPSE program.
  • Educate family members and caregivers on intervention strategies.
  • Work in diverse settings such as patient homes, family day care homes, daycare centers, and other community settings.
  • Maintain accurate records of services, submit evaluations and progress reports on time.
  • Prepare progress reports per program timelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations and submit records within deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Passion for working with children and families.
  • NYS certification/license:
    Students with Disabilities (Birth to
    2) Initial or Professional Certification, or Permanent Special Education Certification.
  • Self‑motivated, team player, patient, professional.
  • Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Travel to assigned cases, including driving personal vehicle, walking, or using public transportation.
  • Ability to ascend/descend staircases.
  • Ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to sit on the floor, kneel, or crawl for extended periods.

Job responsibilities subject to change. Starting rate: hourly $68.00. Compensation based on experience and education will be discussed during the interview process.
