Description

The Department of Special Education at Nassau BOCES is seeking regularized substitute teachers. The successful candidates must have experience working with students with learning, behavior, and social/emotional needs, possess strong skills in differentiated instruction, and demonstrate abilities in data‑informed instruction and the Next Generation Learning Standards.

Requirements

New York State Certified Special Education Teachers, preferably holding two or more certifications in the following certification areas:

  • Students with Disabilities (Birth‑2)
  • Students with Disabilities (Grades 1‑6)
  • Students with Disabilities (Grades 5‑9)
  • Students with Disabilities (Grades 7‑12)
