Assistant or Associate Professor HS, Department of Biochemistry
The Department of Biochemistry is seeking (2) faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We seek candidates who will develop a research program in understanding the molecular basis of disease broadly defined.
This includes, but is not limited to, expertise in genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, metabolism, developmental biology, neuroscience, regulation of gene expression, and protein structure/function.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to teaching and training in metabolism and/or bioinformatic approaches. The department also has a strong culture of commitment to education and training at all levels.
Responsibilities- Develop a research program focused on the molecular basis of disease.
- Maintain an extramurally funded and productive research program.
- Teach undergraduate, graduate, and professional students.
- Contribute to departmental administrative responsibilities.
- Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree in a relevant field.
- Strong record of research success (impactful publication record).
- Extramural funding.
