Responsibilities
Chair the Committee of Special Education (CSE) and Section 504 meetings for high‑school students; observe students in their educational settings; conduct psychological, educational, and behavioral/social/emotional assessments; and participate in building‑level support meetings.
Position RequirementsCollaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support students with disabilities.
Preferred ExperiencePrior experience as a school psychologist chairing committee meetings within a secondary school environment; familiarity with the needs and services available to students with disabilities; administration of psychological, educational, and behavioral/social/emotional assessments; and knowledge of federal and NYSED regulations.
CertificationAppropriate New York State School Psychologist certification required.
