Unity Prep Charter School of Brooklyn is a tuition-free, independent public charter school serving grades 6-12. We provide a rigorous liberal arts and sciences education, preparing students for success in college and beyond.
Role OverviewWe are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Middle School Spring Volleyball Coach to lead our middle school team. The coach will develop athletes' skills, foster teamwork, and promote a culture of discipline, sportsmanship, and academic success.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit, train, and develop student-athletes to compete in interscholastic track and field competitions.
- Plan and lead structured practices focusing on skill development, conditioning, and strategy.
- Assess athletes' abilities, assign positions, and determine meet lineups.
- Monitor student-athletes' academic progress and ensure eligibility compliance.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined team culture.
- Ensure all safety protocols and injury procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with the Athletic Director and school staff to support student growth on and off the track.
- Experience:
1-3 years of coaching (middle school level preferred). - Knowledge:
Strong understanding of track and field techniques, strategies, and regulations. - Leadership:
Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop student-athletes. - Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with students, staff, and families. - Commitment:
Passion for sports, education, and student success.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to training and coaching.

Salary: $50 - $60 per hour
