Middle School Science Teacher; 6th Grade

Bring your passion for Science education and ignite the curious minds of the youth in the Bronx, NY! Cross Country Education is searching for an engaged Science Teacher eager to contribute to a collaborative, high-expectations school culture for the '25-'26 school year.

• Develop and deliver high-quality, engaging science instruction to 6th grade students, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards and promoting student inquiry and understanding.
• Administer, collect, and analyze both formative and summative assessment data (quizzes, projects, lab reports, state-aligned exams) to diagnose student needs, reflect on lesson effectiveness, and inform daily instructional adjustments.
• Modify instructional methods and materials, including project-based learning and hands‑on labs, to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.

• Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
• Valid New York State Teaching Certificate, preferably in Science (Required) Non-Certified Teachers actively in process / willing to obtain NYS Teaching Certification are welcome to apply!
• 1‑2 years of Science teaching experience in the subject area (Preferred)

• Top Compensation:
  Earn up to $37.20 - $39.60 Per Hour, based on your experience and qualifications as a Science Teacher, with weekly pay and opportunities for bonuses and incentives.
