Salary: $18 ‑ $20/hr
Position Summary: The Children’s Aid Parent Engagement Program at SU Campus is a Social Emotional Learning Program. The program offers workshops to adult participants in Social Emotional learning and the opportunity to engage in an array of art‑based activities.
Essential Duties- Understand and promote the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
- Responsible for facilitating and caring for a group of adult participants.
- Develop classroom and behavioral management skills.
- Implement professionally developed art‑based curriculum and develop relationships with participants.
- Teach, supervise, and organize teaching plans.
- Assist with the design and lead the implementation of special projects in and out of the program.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly cleaned and returned.
- Attend regular staff meetings, trainings, and work cooperatively with other staff members in the program and schools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience working with adult participants.
- Field of study in Arts.
- Available from September – June.
- Commits to teaching by modeling and demonstrating characteristics that participants can learn from.
- Enjoy being around adults of all ages and is respectful.
- Must be punctual, responsible, and have a positive attitude to provide encouragement to participants.
- Team player.
