Base pay range$75,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
Are you passionate about Health Information Technology, student success, and shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals? A well-established New Jersey college is seeking an Academic Specialist in Health Information Technology to join its Allied Sciences division.
This is a unique hybrid faculty + administrative role for professionals who love teaching, mentoring, curriculum development, and academic leadership — all within a supportive, mission-driven academic environment.
📚 What You’ll Be Doing- Teach up to 12 credit hours per week in Health Information Technology
- Design and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction
- Advise and mentor students throughout their academic journey
- Maintain and manage accurate academic and student records
- Use data and analytics to improve retention and completion outcomes
- Support hiring, evaluation, and development of faculty and adjuncts
- Assist with curriculum development, assessment, and program review
- Support grants, budgeting, and academic initiatives (including Perkins grants)
- Represent the program at meetings, events, and professional conferences
- RHIT or RHIA certification required
- Experience or strong interest in teaching and academic administration
- Knowledge of modern classroom technology and instructional tools
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student success
- Experience working with diverse student populations preferred
- Full-time, fully on-site role (35 hours/week)
