Start Date: Rolling opportunities based on school partner schedules
Compensation: Starting at $50+ per instructional hour, with rates varying based on the assignment, instructor qualifications, experience, location, scheduling needs, and other program-related factors. Most assignments fall between $50–$65 per instructional hour.

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Saxophone Instructors who are interested in providing instructional services for instrumental music programs serving elementary, middle, and high school students.
This posting is intended to identify qualified professionals who may be considered for future independent contractor instructional assignments as opportunities become available.
ASSIGNMENT SCOPE- Alto, tenor, soprano, and/or baritone saxophone
- Proper embouchure, breathing, posture, and tone production
- Fingering and fundamental playing techniques
- Music reading, rhythm, scales, and basic music theory
- Individual and small-group instrumental instruction
- Ensemble playing and musicianship
- Improvisation and introductory jazz concepts
- Age-appropriate repertoire across a variety of musical styles
- Performance preparation and stage presence
- Instrument care and proper practice techniques
- Specific curriculum, grade levels, program goals, schedules, and instructional expectations will vary by assignment.
- Potential instructors may have experience as a:
- Saxophone instructor
- Woodwind instructor
- Band or instrumental music teacher
- Music educator
- Private music teacher
- Professional or working saxophonist with teaching experience
- Teaching artist or enrichment instructor
- College-level music student or graduate with relevant instructional experience
- Experience working with K–12 students in a school, after-school program, music school, camp, community organization, private lesson, or youth ensemble setting is strongly preferred.
- Formal teaching certification is not required unless specifically stated for an individual assignment.
- Strong saxophone performance and instructional skills
- Knowledge of fundamental music theory and musicianship
- The ability to clearly demonstrate and explain instrumental techniques
- The ability to engage students at different ages and skill levels
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Enthusiasm for music and student development
- Reliability, professionalism, and preparedness
- A positive and encouraging instructional approach
Instructional opportunities with Concorde Education are offered on an independent contractor basis and are assignment-specific.
Instructors may choose whether to express interest in or accept individual opportunities based on factors such as location, schedule, subject area, grade level, and compensation.
The availability, duration, schedule, and scope of assignments vary according to the needs of Concorde Education's school and community partners.
