Infant Toddler Teacher

As a leading, full-service child care and early education provider with 10+ locations in the Bronx and Brooklyn, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Infant Toddler Lead Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team.
About the Role:We are seeking an Infant Toddler Lead Teacher to create a warm, engaging environment tailored to the developmental needs of infants and toddlers, fostering growth in literacy, social skills, and emotional well-being. As a Toddler Lead Teacher, you will develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum, plan engaging lesson activities, and provide attentive toddler care while monitoring health, hygiene, nutrition, and safety standards.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes early literacy, math skills, physical development, and social-emotional learning tailored to infants and toddlers
- Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management
- Plan engaging lesson activities that support childhood development milestones and incorporate Montessori or other educational philosophies as appropriate
- Provide attentive toddler care by monitoring health, hygiene, nutrition, and safety standards in compliance with childcare regulations
- Manage classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transition activities with patience and consistency
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about each child's progress, behavioral updates, and developmental milestones
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure classroom management strategies are effective and aligned with early intervention practices for children needing additional support
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or currently pursuing - Prior classroom experience working with infants and toddlers in licensed childcare centers or preschool settings is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies
- Experience in curriculum development focused on literacy education, sensory activities, and physical education for young children
- Familiarity with standardized testing methods used to assess early learning outcomes is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while maintaining a positive learning environment
- Background in special education or working with children requiring additional support enhances your candidacy
- Excellent communication skills to foster collaborative relationships with families and team members committed to child welfare
Our Toddler Lead Teacher will work from our location in The Bronx, New York
, providing a safe and nurturing environment for infants and toddlers.
$19 - $21 HOURLY
