Full-Time | Monday–Friday | $16.50–$18.00/hour

Shift options may vary based on classroom needs (8:00–5:00, 8:30–5:30, or 9:00–6:00).

The Learning Experience of Astoria is looking for energetic, dependable, and caring Assistant Teachers to join our team. Whether you're supporting our infants, toddlers, or preschoolers, you'll play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive every day.

As an Assistant Teacher, you'll work alongside our Lead Teachers to help create meaningful learning experiences while ensuring every child feels safe, supported, and loved.

• Help implement fun, hands‑on activities that encourage learning through play.
• Support children's social, emotional, language, and cognitive development.
• Assist with classroom routines, transitions, meals, and daily care.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow teachers.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Be an important part of a collaborative team that works together to provide exceptional care and education.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a licensed daycare or childcare center.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn, grow, and support all aspects of the classroom.
• Ability to pass all required background checks and state compliance requirements.

$16.50–$18.00 per hour
