Grades 9-12
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:- Provide standards-aligned English as a New Language (ENL) instruction to high school multilingual learners.
- Collaborate with content-area teachers to support students through co-teaching, scaffolding, and differentiated instruction.
- Develop and implement lessons that strengthen students’ academic language, literacy, and content knowledge.
- Monitor student progress and use assessment data to adjust instruction and provide targeted support.
- Maintain accurate student records and communicate regularly with families, teachers, counselors, and administrators.
- Support an inclusive, culturally responsive learning environment that values students’ diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Effective approximately November 11, 2026,to approximately mid-February, 2027
- Candidates must possess a valid NYS teaching certificate in English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), All Grades, or be eligible for appropriate New York State certification
