The Opportunity
On August 26, 1888, ten people gathered in West Central Florida and started a church with the chief task of mobilizing for mission, making disciples and baptizing new believers.
Today, that church continues to move forward with bold faith, toward a bright future.
For over 138 years, FBC Winter Garden has a rich history of mission and ministry in Central Florida—planting churches, founding a K–12 school serving 1,500 students, launching a preschool of nearly 200 children, and resourcing global missionaries.
Under new senior pastoral leadership, FBCWG is in a season of measurable growth, clarifying priorities, and deliberate team building. Our vision is to shape both present and future generations to love God, love others, and live sent.
We are searching for a Ministries Pastor who will help lead us there.
The RoleThe Executive Pastor of Ministries (EPM) is a member of the Executive Pastoral Team, serving alongside the Executive Pastor and Worship Pastor, each reporting directly to the Senior Pastor.
You will help accomplish FBC’s vision to love God, love others and live sent by providing pastoral leadership across four essential ministry areas:
- Kids Ministry:
Birth-5th grade, Sunday services and Wednesday AWANA - Student Ministry: 6-12th grade, small group leadership and Wednesday programming
- Adult Discipleship & Small Groups:
We are a church of groups, not merely with groups. Small groups are the place to belong and be loved among a biblical community - Missions:
Locally, nationally and globally; with a renewed priority for church planting
You ensure the vision preached on Sunday is lived out Monday through Saturday. This role is not meant for a maintainer, but for a highly motivated builder of staff, leaders, teams and systems.
About FBC Winter GardenNow seeing over 600+ in weekly attendance across three Sunday services at our Downtown Campus on historic Plant Street.
FBCWG has planted churches across West Central Florida for over 70 years — from Ocoee to Windermere to Atlanta, with a renewed commitment to enable local, national, and global missions through strategic partners and church planting.
We also steward two of the most significant ministry institutions in our community:
- Winter Garden Academy: our church-owned preschool serving nearly 200 children from birth through Pre-K. With 40+ teachers and a curriculum rooted in Christian formation, WGA is one of the most sought-after early childhood programs in West Orange County, serving as a visible expression of our conviction to influence young hearts and families with the truths of the gospel.
- Foundation Academy: a K–12 Christian school of 1,500 students, founded by this church in 1958 and incorporated in 2000. With a full academic program from kindergarten through 12th grade, FA has become one of Central Florida’s premier Christian educational institutions. FBCWG operates in a close relationship with Foundation Academy as our church’s largest ministry.
