The Newark Central School District Teacher Assistant will assist teachers in the process of proving instruction. Teacher Assistants will be a resource within the classroom for instructional purposes, including but not limited to differentiated instruction, direct instruction, station work, classroom management, support as outlined in students' IEPs and general supervision.

• Provide instructional services to individual or small groups of students under the direct general supervision of the teacher and/or administrative personnel.
• Assist the teacher in the development and preparation of instructional materials
• Assist teacher in related instruction work, as required
• Maintain appropriate records of students under the direction of the appropriate teacher and/or administrative personnel
• Assist students in the use of available instructional resources
• Supervise student and assist in student management.
• Perform miscellaneous clerical duties
• Other duties as assigned

• NYSED Certification: NYS TA Certification or higher
• PREFERRED:
  School-based experience, Experience working with children
• EVALUATED BY:
  Building Principal
• Must be fingerprinted through the NYS Department of Education (required for new employees)
