E. Connor Middle School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Science teacher. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with special education teachers, general education teachers, and related service providers to help students access grade-level curriculum, build academic skills, and achieve success in the classroom.

• 1. NYS Teaching Certification General Science 7-12
• 2. Earth Science 7-12 Preferred

• 1. Prior teaching experience 7-8 desired
• 2. Familiarity with New York State P-12 Science Learning Standards and Next Generation Science Standards
• 3. Experience with iReady, IXL, and Khanmigo
• 4. Ability to use data driven instruction to improve student achievement
• 5. Ability to cooperate and collaborate with grade level teams, department teams, and special area teachers
• 6. Strong use of technology to support professional responsibilities; ability to integrate technology into instruction
• 7. Strong written and oral communication skills
• 8. Strong work ethic
• 9. Provide an inclusive and engaging learning environment in an integrated co-taught classroom setting and provide differentiated instruction for special education and ENL students
• 10. Evidence of positive classroom management skills
