Assistant Pre-School Teacher

The Goddard School® of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dependable Pre-School Assistant Teacher to join our team of passionate educators.

Our Wonder of Learning curriculum is both play-based and inquiry-driven, fostering a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore, discover, and grow. We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to providing the highest quality early childhood education and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

• Support the Lead Teacher in implementing engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Help maintain a positive, safe, and organized classroom environment.
• Supervise and interact with children to encourage their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administrators.
• Ensure all activities and practices align with Goddard School standards and New York State licensing regulations.

• Previous experience working with young children in a childcare setting preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED, CDA or degree (or working toward a degree) in Early Childhood Education or a related field is a plus.
• Strong communication, collaboration, ability to multi-task and organizational skills.
• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development.
