We are seeking multiple Special Education Teachers to join our team! This job is located in Bronx, NY

This Position is in:
The homes of children in the Bronx County of New York, New York and Achieve Beyond, 70-00 Austin St, Ste 200, Forest Hills, NY 11375. Seventy-five percent of the position's duties are performed in the homes of children in Bronx, NY. Travel is to homes within the same ZIP code.

Come and join a team of passionate therapists providing excellent pediatric therapy. We specialize in conducting evaluations and providing ongoing services in homes, community, and clinic settings. Achieve Beyond is centered around a culture of collaboration and support, to ensure our services are of the highest quality and adhere to our strong ethical standards. We currently offer ABA, Speech, Occupational, Social Work, and Physical therapy as well as Special Education/SEIT services.

We serve children and families in the metro New York area (all 5 boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley, Long Island and Albany), Virginia/DC area, Maryland, New Jersey, Connecticut and Delaware.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide special education services to children age 0-2 in the Bronx County of New York, NY. Travel is to homes within the same zip code. Seventy five percent of the position's duties are performed in the homes of children in Bronx, NY.

• Assess children' skills and determine their educational needs
• Adapt general lesson plans to meet students' individual needs.
• Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student.
• Plan activities that are specific to each student's abilities and needs.
• Implement IEPs, assess students' performance, and track their progress.
• Update IEPs to reflect students' progress and goals.
• Discuss students' progress with parents, other teachers, therapists, and counselors.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Special Education, or Master's in Speech-Language Pathology; or Master's in Social Work.
• One of the following NYS certifications/licenses:
  • Tchr. of Studs w/Speech & Lang Disabilities(TSLD) Initial or Pro
  • Tchr. of Studs w/Disabilities Birth-2 Initial or Professional certification
  • Permanent Special Education certification
  • Tchr. Speech-Hearing-handicap(TSHH) Permanent
  • Social Worker(LMSW)
  • The requirement is generic to the occupation.

Pay Range
: $68,020-$75,000 per year. Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during the Special Education Teacher interview process.
