Position Specific DescriptionFlorida Power & Light is seeking an experienced individual for the Central Maintenance Planning team to support long‑range overhaul planning of its Combined Cycle Power Generation Fleet. The ideal candidate will be well organized and process oriented, have a bias for action, and excel at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Routine interface with site personnel, Fleet Engineering, Integrated Supply Chain, and suppliers is a must.
Responsibilities- Perform jobsite walk‑downs for component & scope validation.
- Support procurement of materials and services.
- Establish accurate work order cost and schedule estimates.
- Administer procurement contracts and documentation in support of outage execution.
- Streamline activities through the use of standardized processes and procedures, problem solving, and team engagement.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- High School Grad / GED.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
2+ years. - Supervisor/Management
Experience:
0+ years. - Valve Planning and/or Valve Maintenance experience.
- Power Plant Planning and/or Mechanical Maintenance experience.
- Proficient in reading piping & component isometric drawings.
- Minimum 2 years Formal Technical Education.

Employees in this job are responsible for project planning of major and minor equipment maintenance activities related to electrical power generation plants. Activities may include job identification, scope validation, cost and schedule estimating, and development of job specific work instructions.
Position is planned to be based out of the Jim Robo Campus located in Palm Beach Gardens; working from one of the FPL Fossil Sites within Florida will be considered based on experience and capabilities and requires hiring manager approval. Position requires up to 30% travel within Florida.
