Overview
Local Law 87 NYC Compliance – Energy Audits & Retro-Commissioning. As part of the Greener, Greater Buildings Plan, LL87 requires buildings over 50,000 square feet to have periodic energy audits with retro-commissioning measures. Building owners must complete an Energy Efficiency Report (EER) and have it approved every 10 years.

If your NYC building is over 50,000 square feet, you must comply with LL87 by completing an energy audit and retro-commissioning once every 10 years and filing your Energy Efficiency Report (EER) with the Department of Buildings.
