Job Summary
The Calibration Technician performs precise, high‑quality calibrations at customer sites across various locations. This field‑based role requires 100% travel, supporting disciplines such as RF, electrical, dimensional, torque, pressure, and temperature. The technician documents results, represents the company professionally, and may cross‑train across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities- Perform calibrations in accordance with company procedures and applicable standards (ISO/IEC 17025, ISO
9001, AS9100, ANZ
540.1). - Specialize in overall calibration while supporting additional disciplines as needed; demonstrate willingness to cross‑train in other calibration areas.
- Accurately document calibration results, ensuring traceability, completeness, and compliance.
- Maintain and verify calibration standards and report equipment issues to supervisors.
- Travel 100% of the time to customer sites, including local and overnight stays.
- Support setup and teardown of mobile calibration workstations or onsite labs.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding service status, technical requirements, and scheduling.
- Coordinate with supervisors and team members to ensure timely completion of assigned work.
- Participate in onboarding and cross‑training opportunities to increase flexibility across disciplines.
- Share feedback and contribute to continuous improvement of service delivery.
- Follow all safety guidelines, company SOPs, and calibration protocols.
- Support quality assurance efforts, including audits, compliance reviews, and lean initiatives.
- Help maintain clean, audit‑ready calibration work spaces and tools.
- 1–3 years of hands‑on calibration experience in a lab or field setting.
- Experience with RF/GP calibration preferred.
- Willingness to travel 100%, including local and overnight travel.
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and calibration standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Dynamics.
- Familiarity with calibration and service management tools such as FSM, Cal Web, and Gage.
- Willingness to cross‑train in multiple disciplines (RF, electrical, pressure, temperature, torque, dimensional).
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Experience working in customer‑facing or onsite roles for large accounts or multi‑site operations.
The salary range for this position is 47,500.00 – 88,100.00.
