Instrumentation and Controls Engineer – Albany, NY
Jacobs is seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our Albany, New York team. This hybrid position will support projects that power the core operations of clients, including cutting‑edge semiconductor manufacturing and advanced research facilities. As part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team you will help design and optimize control systems for a variety of processes, working closely with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver world‑class solutions for new facilities.
Base pay range: $/yr – $/yr
- Develop P&IDs and sizing of valves.
- Specify instrumentation and panel design, including I/O assignments.
- Document and model design information while ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 9 years of experience designing instrumentation and control systems.
- Working knowledge of PLC, PAC, DDC and DCS systems.
- Ability to work onsite (hybrid) in Albany, NY.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) – preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
