CFD Analyst (Mission Critical/Data Center)

, that’s exactly what we do. Simply, data centers are buildings that store information technology. These mission critical facilities must remain operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Your role is to analyze the building infrastructure—power and cooling systems—to make sure that happens.
Locations:
New York NY, Troy NY, Atlanta GA, Milwaukee WI, Tempe AZ, Herndon VA.
- Utilize CFD tools to solve physics‑based problems related to indoor and outdoor building flows, thermal comfort, contaminant dispersion and condensation controls.
- Improve existing analytical capabilities by developing best practices, automating processes, and streamlining workflows.
- Maintain working knowledge of relevant computational fluids research in the building mechanical field with proactive research.
- Document, report, and make technical presentations of engineering solutions to design teams and clients.
- Work independently while communicating and coordinating with other engineering disciplines and project managers.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Building Mechanical Systems.
- Ability to perform quality work within deadlines.
- Master’s Degree.
- Experience with CFD analysis software (FloEFD, STAR CCM+, Fluent, FDS, OpenFOAM, 6
Sigma Room). - Experience writing User Defined Functions (UDF) for commercial software.
- Programming experience in Python, C++, and Java.
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, planning, organizing, decision making, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to present research findings.
- Strong drive for results and continuous improvement.
