Role PurposeApply chemical and fundamental engineering principles to design, scale‑up, and optimize manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and participate in investigating & identifying Hazardous Operations (HAZOP) and Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) to ensure process safety and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct hands‑on experimentation in laboratories, pilot platforms, and manufacturing environments to validate process concepts and enable technology transfer.
- Document technical work thoroughly and contribute to intellectual property (IP) development as appropriate.
- Communicate technical findings through reports, presentations, and verbal briefings to stakeholders and management.
- Measure and report performance against established technical and project objectives.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and maintain stakeholder engagement to identify and resolve technical challenges.
- Apply basic statistical techniques to enhance understanding and control of chemical processing phenomena.
- Use structured problem‑solving methodologies to facilitate root cause understanding and resolution of chemical and manufacturing process upsets.
- Support sustainability initiatives by optimizing resource utilization and minimizing environmental impact.
- MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in chemical engineering or allied fields involving research and development, process scale‑up, or manufacturing.
- Proven ability to work independently and execute objectives with minimal oversight.
- Experience in process safety, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
- Must be available for significant travel, primarily domestic, to multiple locations to support business needs; international travel may be required.
- Fundamental understanding of chemical engineering processes and engineering principles.
- Familiarity with structured problem‑solving methods and experimental design.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills for working in diverse, global teams.
- Familiarity with chemical engineering process simulation and modeling tools (e.g., ChemCAD, Aspen Plus/Aspen HYSYS, COMSOL, MATLAB).
- Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DOE) and advanced statistical analysis (e.g., Excel Sigma‑Zone, SAS‑JMP, Origin, Minitab).
- Familiarity with scale‑up from lab to pilot to manufacturing, including troubleshooting and optimization.
- Familiarity with intellectual property development and patent processes.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and green engineering principles.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional technical teams and mentor junior engineers.

CompensationThe range for this position is $92,194.00 – $ assuming full‑time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
