This is an entry‑level role designed for someone with a CAD/drafting background who is eager to learn the specialized field of security system design. You’ll work under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers, gaining hands‑on experience in designing access control, CCTV/video surveillance, and integrated security systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in preparing CAD drawings: device layouts, wiring diagrams, conduit runs, and equipment elevations.
  • Support senior CAD designers/engineers in creating submittals, product specs, and bills of materials.
  • Maintain and organize drawing files, templates, and documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews and make revisions as directed.
  • Learn how security systems integrate with IT networks, electrical infrastructure, and other trades.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to take direction and work as part of a team.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.

Nice to Have (but not required):

  • Internship, co‑op, or prior exposure to construction, low‑voltage, or security projects.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical or networking principles.
  • Familiarity with reading construction drawings.
