Spec Pro Professional Services, LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer, P.E., to provide advisory and assistance services and high quality, on time deliverables in support of Construction Management Support (CMS) services to the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Louisville District. This role involves providing highly reliable, highly credible specialized technical expertise to support the Canandaigua VA Center. The Electrical Engineer will work closely with the USACE team to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and mission success by delivering quality deliverables on time and within budget.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The Electrical Engineer is required to provide the following services:

  • Perform analysis and/or troubleshooting on USACE electrical systems part of building construction and/or engineering design projects.
  • Technical reviews of project design and related project materials to ensure they are compliant with all applicable standards.
  • Technical reviews of work requests for facilities and property that fall under the jurisdiction of the USACE Louisville District.
  • Perform analysis of infrastructure systems for Canandaigua VA Center assets and help create Operations and Maintenance (O&M) as well as Preventative Maintenance (PM) Plans that include ongoing, planned, programmed, and necessary projects to maintain all infrastructure assets at a functional level.
  • Technical expertise to the Government at meetings to include technical presentations, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes.
  • Development of Monthly Status Reports (MSRs).
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Advanced technical knowledge of USACE systems and construction management processes
  • Possesses understanding of US Army Corps of Engineers regulations, procedures, processes, and guidelines
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise documents, such as functional specifications and technical requirements, that guide projects
  • Ability to review technical documents and provide subject matter expertise that enables identification of root causes, development of solutions, and/or implementation of corrective measures
  • Expertise in translating industry standards and regulatory requirements into concrete engineering specifications
  • Demonstrates proactivity and takes ownership of daily responsibilities and projects
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Commitment to superior quality and accuracy
  • Extremely responsive and customer-focused; appropriate follow-up and follow-through
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 or similar software
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Must possess thorough knowledge of building construction, construction management, and/or engineering design
  • Professional registration as an electrical engineer
  • Experience with USACE systems and construction management processes
  • Relevant Medical Center/Facility Construction experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform desk work for extended periods, including sitting and using a computer.

  • Primarily operates in a temperature-controlled office setting with frequent use of electronic office equipment.

All contractor personnel accessing proprietary, classified, or confidential information related to USACE Louisville District acquisitions must complete and sign a contractor NDA before beginning work. The contractor is responsible for ensuring all staff, including subcontractors and consultants, execute NDAs to protect procurement-sensitive and proprietary information. NDAs must be signed on the first day of employment and renewed with each contract option period.

Failure to comply constitutes default. The contractor must maintain signed NDAs and provide copies to the COR.
