Position: Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Leader
Location: Town of Florida

Position Summary:

M2X Energy Inc. is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Leader to establish, oversee, and continuously improve our EH&S programs and EH&S team. M2X operations span both on‑site manufacturing and field deployment of equipment at project locations. This role is critical for ensuring regulatory compliance, protecting our workforce, and building a proactive culture of safety across manufacturing facilities and field operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership
    • Develop, implement, and continuously improve all EH&S policies, programs, and strategies.
    • Serve as the company’s EH&S subject matter expert and compliance focal.
    • Develop and implement company‑wide EH&S policies, procedures, and training programs tailored to both manufacturing and field operations.
    • Lead the creation of job hazard analyses (JHAs), safe work practices, and emergency response protocols.
    • Establish, build, and lead an EH&S team as the company continues to grow.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Lead and ensure compliance with all federal, state (OSHA, EPA, DOT, DEP), and other relevant regulations.
    • Prepare and maintain required EH&S records, reporting, and permits (air emissions, hazardous waste, stormwater, etc.).
    • Act as primary contact for regulatory agencies during inspections, audits, or inquiries.
  • Health & Safety Oversight
    • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
    • Implement corrective actions that drive safety performance metrics.
    • Develop ergonomics programs, PPE utilization, chemical hygiene, and training for manufacturing and field teams.
    • Manage occupational health initiatives, including hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and medical surveillance, as required.
  • Field Deployment Support
    • Establish protocols for safe work at customer facilities and remote project sites, including jobsite risk assessments, contractor/vendor coordination, and travel risk management.
    • Provide in‑field EH&S support to field teams on deployments, including stop‑work authority, equipment inspections, and incident response.
  • Training & Culture Building
    • Deliver EH&S onboarding, recurring safety training, and competency‑based site certifications.
    • Foster a positive culture of accountability, hazard reporting, and proactive safety leadership across the company.
  • Environmental Stewardship
    • Lead sustainability and environmental compliance initiatives including waste minimization, hazardous/wastewater management, and sustainable operations practices.
    • Track environmental performance metrics and support company ESG commitments.
  • Teamwork
    • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to integrate EH&S considerations into projects, process changes, and daily operations.
    • Mentor and lead EH&S staff or safety committee members, cultivating a proactive safety culture.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive EH&S leadership experience in chemical, energy, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
  • Strong experience in chemical process safety practices, including safety assessments, safe operating practices, chemical handling, and related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, PSM, DOT, ISO standards, and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence teams, implement EH&S strategy, and foster a strong safety culture.
  • Work onsite at Rockledge, FL manufacturing site with availability travel up to 25%.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
  • Start‑up or scaling company experience a plus.
Preferred

Certifications:
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or similar.
  • OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, First Aid/CPR certifications.
