Configuration Management Manager
CACIs Mastodon Design team in Rochester, NY specializes in designing and building hardware and software to meet our customers’ next requirement. We are looking to hire a PLM Administrator to join our team. In this position, you will lead the site's Configuration Management processes, provide administrative oversight of all engineering design documentation and part numbers, and ensure successful execution of product revisions throughout the entire design lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Oversee and maintain the site's Configuration Management database, infrastructure, plans, and processes for the Engineering development and Manufacturing teams
- Utilize Configuration Management tools to store, track, and manage release hardware and software revisions
- Identify, introduce, and lead implementation of enhancements and improvements to Configuration Management system and policies
- Lead Configuration Management discipline for the entire product lifecycle, from initial prototyping through end-of-life
- Work with Engineering and Operations teams in support of all Configuration Management requirements, change controls, and deviations
- Successfully manage and archive all process change releases and deviations
- Ability to support creation and implementation of policy and process documentation, coordinating with stakeholders on new baselines or changes
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years’ experience (or equivalent work experience) in Configuration Management or related product lifecycle activities
- No clearance requirement to begin employment. As a requirement of continued employment you may be required to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Experience working alongside Engineering hardware and software teams to create and manufacture commercial products
- Excellent understanding of Engineering development processes and how to apply best Configuration Management practices
- Demonstrated ability to incorporate and implement Engineering lifecycle policies and procedures
- Experience working with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
- Preferred experience working with Manufacturing planning and inventory systems
Desired
- Knowledge of EE principles with experience in printed circuit board assemblies, design drawings, and component types
- Preferred experience with Department of Defense (DoD) products and customers
- Active Secret or higher security clearance
- Engineering degree preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles with experience with custom mechanical hardware, design drawings, and fabrication
- Familiarity with production test and assembly
