Renewable Energy Site Engineer

We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer to work with our Renewable Energy services group, providing support on Civil/Site design for Solar, Battery Energy Storage and other renewable energy projects. This position is open to candidates in the locations we have offices as a Hybrid position. We are seeking someone with a strong knowledge of design, production, and implementation of Renewable Energy development projects and Civil/Site projects.

Experience with Site plan design, grading design, storm water and hydraulic calculations, as well as familiarity with State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR), Department of Environmental Conservation, storm water permitting, and code review.

Responsibilities:

• Perform site visits for project feasibility.
• Assist with preliminary site layouts.
• Develop comprehensive solar designs including Site plans, structural drawings and engineering calculations.
• Produce both Site Plan and construction document drawings that will be used for permit approvals and construction.
• Support permitting application processes.
• Effectively communicate with project stakeholders including clients, professional engineers, contractors and coworkers.
• Provide design and technical implementation of a high-quality project within the intended scope, timeframe, budget, and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience.
• EIT or PE preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Self-starter with great communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
