Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and interpret data to underpin planning projects
- Prepare planning analyses for zoning, entitlements, and environmental review (e.g. EAF, EIS)
- Develop GIS maps, reports, presentation graphics, and materials for client/public meetings
- Coordinate project workflows, applications, agency meetings, and regulatory compliance
- Deliver on project schedules and required deliverables
- Attend municipal meetings (evenings) on behalf of clients, as needed
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in planning, urban design, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, independently or in collaborative team settings
- Proficiency or aptitude to learn: MS Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, IMPLAN, Adobe Creative Suite
- Interest in working across disciplines with landscape architects, land planners, and civil engineers
- AICP certification (or working toward eligibility)
- Experience with SEQR or New York municipal land use approvals
