We are looking for a Quality Engineer for our Westbury, NY facility. Quality Engineering involves strategic oversight and continuous improvement of the quality management system. It ensures that products, processes, and operations consistently adhere to defined standards and specifications. Through the development and implementation of targeted solutions, it drives enhancements in product quality, operational efficiency, overall performance, and customer satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities
  • Coordinates first production runs and testing activities and prepares First Article Inspection reports to support product validation.
  • Supports the product realization process for new product launches, applying Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) techniques to ensure timely market delivery.
  • Participates in vendor change processes and collaborates with stakeholders to qualify and approve raw materials.
  • Administers the change management process and tracks progress to ensure alignment with planned activities and timelines.
  • Develops and maintains inspection plans in SAP to support product certification requirements for the distribution center.
  • Maintains and updates documentation and specifications to ensure alignment with business needs and anticipates future procedural requirements ensuring training and competency records are current and compliant.
  • Conducts scheduled internal audits, supports customer and third‑party audits, and manages the corrective action reporting system to ensure prompt resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the complaints process within SAP and manages product returns, including receiving inspections and disposition activities.
  • Tracks key performance indicators, leads quality improvement initiatives, and facilitates the review and revision of process risk assessments.
  • Ensures the integrity of the calibration program by monitoring performance against scheduled activities and maintaining compliance.
  • Ensure ongoing maintenance and effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS), including successful retention of relevant accreditations and certifications.
  • Deliver First Article Inspection Reports within required timelines to support product validation and meet strategic business objectives.
  • Proactively update and manage quality‑related software tools, data sheets, and SAP quality modules to ensure accurate documentation and seamless operational support.
  • Analyze performance metrics and quality data to identify trends, drive corrective actions, and implement initiatives that enhance product reliability and operational efficiency.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in either Material Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or other science degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and AS9100 management standards and internal auditing.
  • Certified Quality Engineer preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to lead problem‑solving events.
  • Relevant competencies with MS Office tools, Minitab, and SAP.
  • Customer driven, team player and able to get results from cross‑functional teams.
  • Highly self‑driven, takes initiative and independently delivers results.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and listening skills.
