FPGA Engineer; Mid-Senior Level

We are currently seeking talented FPGA Engineers to join our existing team. You will have the opportunity to get deeply involved in the development, testing and integration of our FPGA applications and work closely with other technologists and trading experts. We are seeking candidates that have strong technical experience and high-level interest in the industry.

• Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in the defense, space, telecom, or research industries
• Strong interest in the financial industry

Skills

• Minimum 5 years of full-time experience as an FPGA engineer and familiar with the common tools and workflow
• Good coding and design practice
• Strong VHDL and Python skills, familiarity with Linux environment
• Previously worked in a team environment and knows how to collaborate
• Expert knowledge in one or more of these areas: networking, computer architecture, verification
• Intermediate skills in C/C++

Job Duties

• Partner with developers and traders, design, implement and deploy FPGA solutions across firm’s trading businesses
• Architect and implement new FPGA applications (RTL design, synthesis, place & route, static timing analysis) from the ground up
• Develop and maintain robust testing systems shared across the team
• Facilitate software integration efforts by developing new APIs and optimizing interfaces
• Propose creative solutions to overcome FPGA/hardware/software limitations
• Potential to grow into one of the main stakeholders in the firm’s FPGA space, in charge of one or more large applications, and/or become the main person for applications targeting one of the market categories.

Position is eligible to be based in Chicago, IL, New York, NY or London, UK. In compliance with applicable U.S. pay transparency laws, the anticipated base range for this role is $125,000-$250,000 annually in Chicago, IL and New York, NY. Pay (base and bonus) may vary depending on job-related skills and experience. A discretionary performance bonus may be provided as part of the total compensation package.
