Job Description:
- Candidates must have at least 7 years experience with GD&T Blueprints and SMM systems.
- They should be able to demonstrate this knowledge in speaking and in practical assessments.
- Our team in Commercial Aircraft Group is looking for a Senior CMM Programmer to join them.
- You will report to the Site Quality Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in West Falls, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Programming, operating, and maintaining Zeiss Calypso CMM systems to ensure all products meet quality and precision standards.
- Extensive experience with Zeiss Calypso software, strong problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of CMM and quality control procedures.
- Lead the site CMM programming team, planning and managing workload.
- Develop and validate CMM inspection programs for complex parts, components, and assemblies.
- Contribute to developing cost-effective inspection systems and strategies for system enhancements.
- Develop and optimize CMM programs using Zeiss Calypso;
Program and operate Zeiss CMMs. - Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements for accurate measurement.
- Perform dimensional inspections, analyze data, and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Troubleshoot CMM programs and resolve measurement issues.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve processes.
- Maintain Zeiss CMM equipment and calibration per manufacturer's guidelines.
- Train quality inspectors and personnel on CMM operation.
Requirements:
- Combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 7 years of programming experience;
Zeiss CMM and Calypso software preferred. - Above-average knowledge of complex GD&T.
- Participation in FAA Drug & Alcohol Program required due to Safety Sensitive Work regulations.
Education:
- Associates Degree or equivalent in a technical field.
