Sr. Manager (HR & Recruiting) at MP Engineers + Architects

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer with strong design experience and a Professional Engineer (PE) license to join our team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in electrical design for commercial, mixed-use, and high-rise residential building projects
, along with project management capabilities to lead and deliver complex engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical engineering design for commercial, high-rise residential, and mixed-use building projects
    , including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
  • Prepare, review, and seal engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver fully coordinated design solutions.
  • Manage projects from concept through construction, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and design staff.
  • Conduct site visits, review submittals, and support construction administration activities.
  • Ensure designs align with sustainability and energy efficiency standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required

  • 8+ years of electrical engineering and design experience with a focus on commercial and high-rise building projects
    .
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and applicable building codes.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
