Job Description

Transmission Planning Engineer – Product Team

Responsibilities

Deepen and expand transmission planning and generator interconnection study expertise.
Collaborate with software engineers and product managers to translate domain knowledge into Nira’s backend products.
Support the full product life cycle: ideation, research & development, coding, sales support, customer support, and maintenance.

Qualifications & Experience

2+ years hands‑on experience with generation interconnection studies using tools such as TARA, PSS/E, Power World, Python, etc.
Strong ownership mindset, initiative, and a trailblazing attitude.
Willingness to handle all tasks, even the less glamorous ones, to advance the company mission.
Motivation to level up software engineering skills; ability to collaborate closely with senior engineers.
Low ego, data‑driven decision making, and openness to challenge assumptions.

Compensation & Equity

Base salary $180,000‑$210,000 per year plus equity.
