Multiple Positions Available:
Manage all commercial aspects of the assigned supply base, including: achieving cost reduction goals through negotiation, creating and implementing sourcing strategies across a wide array of commodities including semiconductors and other electrical components driving assurance of supply, building a strong global network of supplier relationships, and resolving various open issues with the cross functional team.Track electrical and electro-mechanical commodity markets and technology roadmaps.Analyze electrical/semiconductor component supplier cost structures and competitive landscapes to identify and negotiate cost saving opportunities.Develop and execute buying strategies and proactively obtain executive approval for risk buys where needed.Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to transition new products (NPI) and product enhancements from engineering pilot production to full production.Coordinate inventory levels on products during ramp down or EOL phase to minimize the scrap write off.Support engineering requests for engineering changes and track NRE changes with suppliersDefine component/supplier sourcing selection for new programs and alternative sources in collaboration with Hardware Engineering.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
A Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field and 5 years of experience in job offered or Strategic Sourcing, Electrical Commodity Management and/or Supply Chain related occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field followed by 7 years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or Strategic Sourcing, Electrical Commodity Management and/or Supply Chain related occupation as equivalent to a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field and 5 years of experience in job offered or Strategic Sourcing, Electrical Commodity Management and/or Supply Chain related occupationExperience must include:
5 years of experience in negotiating electrical/semiconductor component costs, managing production, and clear-to-build processes.5 years of experience managing electrical/electro-mechanical supply chain providers5 years of experience in supply chain software and tools, such as ERP systems and data analytics tools.The pay range for this position in Los Gatos, CA is $217,630 - $220,200(yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided by Los Gatos, CA Equal Pay Act.
