• Demonstrate familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods and processes for buildings and facilities
• Conduct inspection of mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems at various Transportation related facilities like Airports, Tunnels, Bridges, Terminals, Transit Systems, and Ports.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents
• Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses
• Oversee testing, commissioning and turnover of MEP systems.
• Perform other duties as needed

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5 years’ experience in construction inspection of mechanical/HVAC work on major transportation/infrastructure projects for public agencies, such as PANYNJ, MTA, NJTA, NJDOT, NJ Transit.
• NFPA Fire Protection System Certification and ICC M2 Mechanical Inspector Certification
• Excellent Organizational and communication skills required.
• PE license in New York or New Jersey
• OSHA 30-hour training
• Experience with vertical transportation systems
• Preference given to local candidates

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent. (Candidates with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute experience for a high school diploma)
• A minimum of 5 years experience
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
