We are currently seeking a motivated Industrial Hygiene Technician to learn and support asbestos, lead, mold, and universal waste project monitoring and air sampling assignments in the New York metro area.

Annual Salary Range: $25 – $35 per hour

• Assist in performing air monitoring for asbestos abatement, lead, and mold remediation activities under direct supervision
• Conduct basic, routine site inspections and collect bulk samples following strict protocols
• Log field data, site conditions, and project-related issues for review by senior staff
• Assist senior staff with the investigation of indoor air quality and water intrusion events
• Attend job site health & safety inspections as an observer and trainee
• Support the preparation of reports and memos by organizing field data and documentation
• Maintain and calibrate field equipment and ensure compliance with proper chain‑of‑custody procedures

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• 0‑1 year of experience in a related field; recent graduates with relevant coursework or internships are encouraged to apply
• Basic oral and written communication skills; ability to document field notes clearly
• A minimum of one core certification is preferred (e.g., EPA/NYSDOL Air Sampling Technician or EPA/NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector)
• Working knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel)
• Must be willing to travel to and from job sites within the NJ/NYC area
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and be medically cleared to wear negative pressure respirator
• Must be available to occasionally work night or weekend hours and/or extended shifts beyond 8 hours
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
• Must successfully pass a pre‑employment drug test and will be subject to FRA‑regulated random drug & alcohol testing

• AS or BS in physical sciences, industrial hygiene, safety, environmental sciences, or related science or engineering fields
• OSHA 10‑hour or 30‑hour Construction Safety certification
• Additional accreditations for asbestos, mold, or lead
